BenefitsofMassage

When your stress goes down, your passion goes up

Less Stress Massage therapy is well-known for reducing cortisol (the stress hormone) while increasing "good-feeling" hormones like serotonin and dopamine. Some people may even experience a decrease in anxiety and depression.

Less Pain Your central nervous system (CNS) controls how you perceive pain. When your body is more relaxed, the CNS is less stimulated and you experience less pain. About 15 minutes into the session, your body enters the "rest and digest" state, deepening your relaxation. Also, massage stimulates the release of endorphins, pain-reducing neurochemicals.

Better Circulation Many of my massage strokes push fluids towards the heart, which helps your overall circulation. Better circulation means faster muscle recovery (great for bodybuilders) and healing and improving immunity, as more white blood cells (lymphocytes) are produced when the body has better circulation.

Better Awareness Massage is claimed to boost alertness, improve attention and bring awareness to different areas of your body. You may be surprised to discover certain parts of your body feel more tense and restricted than others during the session.

After each session, I always give my clients home exercise and some tips on how to maintain their bodies and how to avoid bad habits.  There are many more benefits of massage. Maybe it is time for you to find out yourself!
